| Clear-span Structures |

This latest marquee style is very different from the canvas, poles and guy
rope marquees you may remember. Today's marquees are generally referred to as
"Clear span" structures, there is no need for centre poles and ropes
(hence the name "Clear span"), these tents are supported by box
section aluminium where a semi rigid frame provides the structural stability to
which white, fire retardant PVC covers and walls are slid through.
The uninterrupted internal space of clear-span structures makes them very
popular for a wide variety of purposes and events from private functions,
through corporate hospitality to lavish weddings. Another feature of this
marquee is that it can accept a higher level of lavish accessories, such as
doors, window walls, linings and valances.
The absence of guy ropes also makes clear-span marquees especially suitable for
town gardens as they can make the maximum use of space.
Clear-span marquees are also more stable than traditional marquees and can
withstand higher wind speeds and snow loadings. This makes this sort of tent a
more practical option in the winter.
An advantage of this marquee system is its versatility; this is achieved not
only by its ability to be joined to other marquees using a professional
guttering system but also being modular, 3m bay lengths and 9m-12m widths
enable us to cater for any-size event. |

| Traditional Marquees |
Traditional marquees are the standard marquee that has existed for many
hundreds of years. There have been many improvements in this time. The material
we use is a heavy duty PVC coated polyester rather than traditional canvasses.
This has many advantages, not only does it look whiter and is considerably
easier to clean, but it never needs waterproofing and so there is no leakage.
It is also inherently fire retardant.
Traditional marquees have centre poles and guy ropes at the sides, therefore,
they need a surface that can allow the pegs to be driven in (grass etc.). The
pegs need to be positioned 5' away from the marquee around the perimeter;
consequently a 60' x 40' marquee would require an area of 70' x 50'. We have
huge stocks in various widths and lengths to allow us to satisfy the market
where this style of marquee is operated, namely rally's, festivals and shows
where covering for a large number of people is required, although occasionally
where space is not an issue they can be used for larger parties. |

| Frame Tents |
Our frame tents are made from an aluminium tubular framework to which we
place a 'one-piece' roof over complete with detachable sides. There are
numerious lengths availble, albeit only 20' (6.6m) wide.
You may require this style if you are planning an event where you only require
a simple structure with none of the lavish accessories. The versatility and
flexibility of these marquees ensures that we can provide covering at a
location where room is limited, uneven or comprised of materials other than
grass. They can be used as an extention to a house for family celebrations or
where traditional or clear-span marquees cannot be erected. |
